'Frozen' is still taking over the world one warm hug at a time. Now, with 'Frozen Fever.'| Dearest Geeks of EarthFrom storyboards and rough cuts to vamps and scratch voice recordings, last night’s ABC special, “The Story of Frozen: Making an Animated Classic,” offered viewers unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to the franchise that’s taking over the world one warm hug at a time.

And now, there’s “Frozen Fever,” a new animated short coming to the big screen in Spring 2015.

Announced during last night’s broadcast and currently in production, “Frozen Fever” will bring Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf (of course) together as they plan Anna’s birthday party. And while they’re determined to give her the best celebration Arendelle has ever seen, Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk.

Directed by Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, and produced by Peter Del Vecho, with an all-new original song by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, “Frozen Fever” marks the first project reuniting the original Oscar-winning team from Frozen.
